Frequently Asked Questions

Creamery Tire Inc. specialists answer the most common questions related to our products and services, such as tire brands, tire replacement, tire rotation, and similar topics of interest to car owners.

How much are tires for my car or truck?
We do not put pricing online because we source our tires from many different wholesalers. We always try to get our tires from the source with the best price at the time so we can pass any savings on to our customers. Call us with the year, make and model of your vehicle and we can look up the size of tire that’s on your vehicle and give you pricing.
Do I need an appointment to have my tires installed?
We do not take appointments; however, you may want to call to be sure your tire is in stock.
Do I have to put the same tire on my vehicle that originally came on it?
It is recommended that you put the same size and speed rating on your vehicle, but the brand and tread design can be changed.
How often should I rotate my tires?

Rotate your tires every 6,000 mile or every 6 months. Always make sure that your wheels are properly aligned. Badly aligned wheels can lead to dragging of the car on the road.

How do I know when to replace my tires?
One indication is how your vehicle is handling. In wet weather, if the cornering is loose or sloppy, or hydroplaning is felt at any time, have your tires inspected immediately. However, it is best to replace your tires prior to this point. There are tread wear indicators running across the face of the tread on all tires. It is recommended that the tires be replaced prior to the tread being even with the indicators. Use the penny trick to determine if the tread on your tires is worn to low. Take a penny and put Abraham Lincoln's head into one of the grooves of the tread. If you can see all of his head, it's time to replace the tire. When the tread is worn down to 1/16 of an inch, tires must be replaced.
What should the air pressure of my tires be?

Air pressure varies from vehicle to vehicle. Tire manufacturers recommend that the tires be inflated to the specs of the vehicle if the tires match the original equipment standards. To find the recommended air pressure, consult your owner’s manual or the plaque located on the inside doorframe of your vehicle.

  • NOTE: You should check your air pressure monthly because seasonal air temperature changes causes tire air pressure to change. Low tire pressures can affect fuel economy, handling, and comfort. To accurately measure your tire pressure, check tires when they are cold. Wait at least three hours after driving. Check your spare tire each month and keep it properly inflated so it’s ready to go when you need it most.
What brands of tires do you carry?
We carry over 20 brands of tires including: Goodyear, MICHELIN®, Bridgestone, Continental, BFGoodrich®, Uniroyal, Yokohama, Hankook, Pirelli, Nexen, and more!
Do you have my vehicles tire size in stock?
We stock most popular sizes. If we don’t have your vehicle’s tire size or brand in stock, we can have it for you in one or two days.

Car Maintenance and Care

  • Change your fluids on time, every time.
  • Change your oil every 3,000 miles for regular, 5,000 miles for synthetic oil
  • Change antifreeze fluid every 30,000 miles.
  • Change brake fluid every 30,000 miles.
  • Change transmission fluid every 30,000 miles.
  • Schedule a maintenance check every 15, 30, 60, and 90,000 miles.
  • Replace your air filter every 12 months or 12,000 miles (whichever comes first).
  • Replace your fuel filter every 2 years or 24,000 miles (whichever comes first).

Tire Maintenance and Care

  • Rotate your tires every 5,000 miles or every 6 months.
  • Check your tire pressures approximately once a week. Low tire pressures can affect fuel economy, handling and comfort. To accurately measure your tire pressure, check tires when they are cold. Wait at least three hours after driving.
  • Always make sure that your wheels are properly aligned. Badly aligned wheels will again lead to dragging of the car on the road.
  • Check your spare tire each month and keep it properly inflated so it¹s ready to go when you need it most.
  • Use the penny trick to determine if the tread on your tires is worn to low. Take a penny and put Abraham Lincoln's head into one of the grooves of the tread. If part of his head is covered by the tread, you're ok. If you can see all of his head, it's time to replace the tire. When the tread is worn down to 1/16 of an inch, tires must be replaced.

Gas Mileage Tips

  • Check and/or change your air filter every 6 months to improve fuel economy and keep your engine running smoothly.
  • Don't top off. Don't bother topping off when filling your car's gas tank. Any additional gas is just going to slop around or seep out.
  • Tighten up that gas cap. Gas will evaporate from your car's gas tank if it has an escape. Loose, missing or damaged gas caps cause 147 million gallons of gas to evaporate each year.
  • Go for the shade. The hot summer sun that makes the inside of your car feel like a sauna also evaporates fuel from your gas tank.
  • Use the right oil. You can improve your car's gas mileage by 1 percent to 2 percent by using the manufacturer's recommended grade of motor oil.

And most important of all……

  • Always check for potential problems before they happen.
*THESE ARE GENERAL GUILDLINES, REMEMBER TO ALWAYS CHECK YOUR OWNERS MANUAL FOR EXACT INTERVALS FOR YOUR PARTICULAR VEHICLE.
